Brazilian Blowout Keratin Treatment
brought to you by
Dare to Dye Salon Boutique

The ONLY Professional Smoothing Treatments that will actually improve the health of your hair!

Basic Info:

The Keratin Treatment with Brazilian Blowout is an in-salon treatment that takes about 90  minutes for shoulder length hair. The treatment smooths the hair and leaves it looking radiantly shiny, soft, and healthy for up to 12 weeks. The Brazilian Blowout treatment seals the cuticle which cuts drying time down to 1/3 of the usual time, hair that used to take 30 minutes to blow dry, may now take 10. This treatment also gives you the option of air drying your hair beautifully with less frizz.

Is this treatment right for me?

The short answer is yes!  It is effective on all hair types including: thick, thin, dry, chemically damaged, straight, wavy and curly. This professional service will make the hair healthier as it smooths the cuticle and eliminates frizz while it creates shine.  Treatment works great with highlighted and colored hair. It will enhance the color, eliminate frizz and make the hair look healthier overall.  Ideally, you will want to do the color service the same day because the hair cuticle is already open. If you do have the Brazilian Blowout Keratin Treatment and then decide to do color, you will want to wait at least 14 days before having a color service.

Will I still be able to curl my hair?

Your hair will still have volume after your Brazilian Blowout Treatment! You will still be able to use a curling iron and/or round brush to create body and volume.

Is the treatment permanent?

Brazilian Blowout is not a permanent hair straightener but an anti-frizz treatment.  For example, if your hair is wavy, the treatment will most likely allow your hair to dry straight. If your hair is curly, then it will eliminate the frizz as it enhances the definition of the natural curl. If your hair is straight, the treatment will eliminate frizz and give your hair a shiny, healthy look.

How long will it last?

On average the Brazilian Blowout Treatment results vary from 12 to even 16 weeks. It depends on the individual and how often they wash their hair. This treatment is cumulative so the more treatments you receive, the longer you can go between treatments. The Brazilian Blowout Treatment works great on chemically treated and damaged hair. The proteins and nutrients help to seal the cuticle and leave the hair looking healthy.

What is the upkeep?

The most important thing you can do is to use the Brazilian Blowout Retail line that your salon or stylist offers. The more often you wash your hair, the less time your treatment will last so you may want to try to wash your hair around 2-3 times per week if possible.

Swimming in the ocean or pool is fine, but the life of your treatment may be compromised if you swim regularly. The Leave-In Anti-Frizz is a great product to apply before swimming to protect the hair from the elements such as chlorine and salt in the water.

Dear Client,

Let me tell you a little something about your hair stylist, she would absolutely love to be able to work without having to sit you down and interrogate you about every whimsical thing you have done to your hair in the past couple of years. But alas, we live in a world where your boyfriend did break up with you, your cat did die, you did over-drink and embarrass yourself at the company Christmas party (wait where was I going with this?).

Anyways, often times in transitional phases of our lives the first thing we like to change is our hair! So when you sit in your stylist’s chair and they ask you what have you done to your hair the last couple of years, we don’t mean to drudge up old painful memories, we need to know those devilish details! Whether it be that year you decided to do your own roots or that time you decided you wanted to dye your hair the same color as your soul (black of course), let us know.

Now I know your asking yourself “Why is my hair stylist so nosy?”, well, let me tell you hairstylists are selfish creatures that want nothing more than to do the best hair humanly possible while you sit in their chair. They have the nerve to want you (yes you!) to walk out of their salon with the most gorgeous color, cut, and style. Ready, with their business cards in your hand, to climb the highest mountain and tell everyone how great they are at doing hair. So if you don’t tell them about that time you did your own roots, now you have ugly banding and yet another stylist is crying themselves to sleep. Wait, you want to keep that redhead phase a secret (it’s been covered up for so long) whoops now you have green hair, and another stylist throws herself on her own shears a disgrace to her profession. The moral of these tales is this, if you have any love for your stylist’s general well being and sanity please be as honest and accurate with your hair history as you can. Oh and just remember this little fact, even if you’re not honest and open about hair’s past, you’ll be wearing the truth on your head before the service is over.

Yours Truly,

Team Dare to Dye
